My Summer Vacation

Well, we broke away, Chaim and I, for an adult vacation. Our Mother's Helper will be leaving soon, and this was our chance. So we went to Eilat, Israel's "Carribean."

Just as we had unpacked and were beginning to settle in, I noticed that there was quite a sizable fire burning at the far end of the complex. The hot desert wind was blowing it our way, and we soon received instructions to evacuate. We re-packed.
At 11 pm, we were still waiting for our room in another hotel. We eventually got into one, after needing to make it up ourselves, and ate dinner, after having the order forgotten, around midnight. The rest of the trip followed suit, and we never were able to just relax and have the freedom that comes with knowing that no more major changes would take place for a few days.
We did enjoy our surroundings and each other; we went snorkeling and scuba diving (even I went, for the first time) on an all day boat trip, we lounged by the pool and appreciated the scenery.
It was good to be home, though.
